Circulation Policies
  • The general checkout period is 3 weeks.
  • CSU-Pueblo students must have a valid student ID to check out materials and may check out as many items as they wish.
  • High School students may check out materials by registering at the circulation desk with a picture ID and their social security number.
  • Community members may purchase an LID card for $1.00 at the Circulation Desk to have circulation, interlibrary loan, and printing privileges.
  • Books and most government documents are available for 3 week loan periods. Audiovisual and vertical file materials check out for a 1 week period. Materials are subject to recall after the initial loan period, if needed.
  • All items may be renewed by bringing them to the circulation desk, or they may be renewed once by telephone or through My Account in Wolf Den
  • Pueblo community patrons may checkout 4 books at one time with another library's card with a Colorado Library Card (CLC) designation.

Shop on SAGE (SOS)

CSU's Shop on SAGE Service allows graduate students, faculty and staff to directly borrow returnable materials from Colorado State University. Find out how to register for this service

Colorado Library Cards:

Students with a valid CSU-Pueblo ID card have limited library privileges at participating Colorado Library Card libraries around the state. Every library has its own borrowing policy and students who use another library must abide by the policies of the library they visit. Students who borrow materials through the Colorado Library Card system may return those items at the circulation desk. However, these items are still checked out until they reach their home library. The Interlibrary Loan department returns the books to the lending library. It is advisable that students who wish to use another library call ahead to the library of choice to determine if they are a participating library and find out if they have any additional requirements.

Reserve Material

Reserve materials are located at the circulation desk. Faculty place materials (books, test booklets, photocopies) on reserve to allow entire classes to access the same materials. To use reserve materials, present your student ID. Reserve materials are checked out for a 2 hour time period for use in the Library only. See the reserve list which gives the professor's name, course, and all materials on reserve for a particular class.

Electronic Reserves are available each semester. Professors who have electronic reserve materials will provide students with the course password.
