Before you use Prospector...

Have you created a PIN yet?

To use Prospector, you must create a one-time PIN to request items from Prospector and from the new CSU-Pueblo Library Catalog. This process will also set up your library account where you can view holds, renew items, cancel old requests, and other tasks.

Both current and new faculty, students, and staff must create a PIN
to request items from the new library catalog and Prospector

  • I already have a Library Account PIN. Take me to Prospector!
  • I need to create a Library Account PIN to use Prospector. Use the following procedure or print them out:
      1. To order Prospector items, you must have a Library Account. This account is different than your e-account.
      2. Click on “My Library Account” under the “Books+” tab on the library home page.
      3. In the form, enter your LAST (family) name.
      4. Enter your PID number; include the letters PID (for example, PID123456).
      5. Leave the PIN field blank. You will choose your PIN on the next screen.
      6. Click “Submit”.
      7. Choose and enter into the form a PIN that is at least 5 letters and numbers, but no more than 30 characters. Do not use any symbols.
      8. Enter the PIN again to confirm.
      9. Click “Submit”.
      10. You should now see your Library Account space including your contact information. You can see the items you ordered, renew them, and place and cancel holds on items.
      11. If you have questions about your library account, call the Circulation Desk at (719) 549-2386.
      12. You can now order Prospector materials using your PID number and new PIN.
